Comparisons between:
Glastonbury Festival T in the Park '11
The two festivals I have chosen is the Glastonbury Festival (is in green) and the T in the park Festival (is in red) i have chosen allocated colours for each as I think that it would be easier to understand the difference between the two of the festivals.I have also added a colour to resemble both of the festivals which is blue.
The Festival wants people to think about their journey to the Festival, to use public transport, or if coming by car to share transport with others. The Festival is committed to minimising the amount of waste, and managing the on site collection of that waste efficiently, 'reduce, reuse and recycle'.
The Glastonbury festival takes place on Wednesday the 22nd to the 29th of July 2011 this festival has taken place over a wide range of years.A unique feast of music set on a huge site offering a grand scale of entertainment unlike any other festival in the world. For five days the Pilton farm plays host to a tented city in Somerset. As well as music from nearly every genre imaginable on over 50 stages, there's performing arts with cabaret, theatre, circus, children's entertainment, poetry, healing, green crafts and information and much more. Vibrant, spontaneous, colourful, and hugely entertaining.Expect something like 2,000 performances at 50 or so venues including music, cabaret, theatre, circus, a fantastic
Kids area, something will be replacing the departing Leftfield stage, poetry, green crafts and information and loads, loads more ... much more than just the music.Music on the main stages runs from around 11am each morning until 00:30 on the Friday and Saturday and midnight on the Sunday (longer stage runnin
g times than just about every other festival), with entertainment on some of the smaller stages running later (until 6am in Shangri-La).
The T in the park takes place from Friday 8th to Sunday the 10th.Offering a huge variety of music for 85,000 music fans across seven main stages with large camping areas, as well as other attractions, including a large funfair, comedy tent, silent disco, stalls, and food
a line-up of around 180 artists to pla
y over 11 stages. In 2011 is will be the 18th T in the park, which means that previously the festival has gone to plan and ended to be a great success.
Both of the festivals include camping out at the event to listen to the music form a range of artists and acts which will take place at the festival. The Glastonbury festival is £50.00 per ticked as you are hiring out the place were you are staying which makes the price much higher.Although T in the park tickets have not currently been announced but will be closer to the date of the festival.
This is the Glastonbury festivals Ethos.......
Glastonbury Festival believes that work begins at home, at Worthy Farm. Looking after the fields, the hedges and the livestock has always been the Festival's number one concern, and it is what life is all about.
Festivals goers should think responsibly when they are packing their things to take to the Festival, and not bring items that will end up in Landfill, or that they won't want to take back home again, remember to "Limit what you bring, and clean up behind you."
The Glastonbury festivals target audience is aimed at couples and teen-age families meaning parents with teenagers although they do have a kids areas which will enable the parents to go out and enjoy them self.
I would say that the T in the parks target audience is young adults and older aged families as you go in camper-vans within a group of people.
The information below tells you what the details of bringing camper-vans are:
Each camper van ticket allows access to a pitch area of 7m x 7m. If more space is required another ticket for a second pitch must be purchased, camper van tickets must be bought in advance. The number of passengers must not exceed the camper van sleeping capacity.
