Evaluation of the festival

The festival started at 3:20 on Friday,before the festival we had rehearsals to make sure that we new what was running in the event and on average how long it lasted etc. Just before everyone came into the hall to watch the festival everyone got into their first costume of the fashion show to run things smoothly. At the beginning of the festival their were not many people however as the event continued more people came along, for some people within the festival this seemed an distraction.The running order list that was planned for the festival did not stay the same as things came before they were meant to which caused the members of the festival to go along with what was happening. We did the fashion show twice for those who had turned up late but to also give people a chance to look at the; recycled,customised,and printed clothes again in greater detail. We had a few performances within the play which made the festival more creative and wide ranging, the festival ran for about 30 Min's which I thought was a good amount of time for the target audience. The things that went well was that everybody was involved in the making of the festival but also in the running of the event, everybody had strength and weaknesses which we helped one another with, however the things that didn't go as well was the dancers at the end of the festival as they didn't seem to understand that this was the final sum up of this unit and we wanted everything to go well.

Today is the day were all our hard work is going to be delivered in the festival, it is going to be a lot of hard work because we need to do time rehearsals of what's going on but also setting up the catwalk area and also get the resources to show video clips etc.

Before the festival starts at 3:20 we are going to be setting up and doing run through to get every think perfect, I am going to be taking part in the modelling of the new designed clothes which have been recreated for new ethical fashion.

Thoughts: I need to rehearse the catwalk in time for the modelling of the clothes.

I need to think of the areas of where I need to get changed to display other creations.

Today In media I and the rest of the diploma team started to finish off the creative making which included finishing off the creating of the clothes and make designs for the masks, I stuck to three main colour which was peach,black and silver glitter and as lots of people liked the design they wanted me to help them create thiers so I helped others.

This is a love design that will be transferred onto plain t-shirts this is an easy and simple way that you can transform old and dated plain clothes into unique designs.

Lesson log 18/03/2011

On the weekend i went to the science museum where they had Eco friendly fashion; they had a dress made out of empty crisp packets and drink cans which looked colourful and unique, there was also a long coat/jacket made out of recycled metal. There were some accessories that we could create for the festival which can be created easily.

In today's lesson I am going to be producing the logos and images that will be used to print onto the plain t-shirts these designs were created last week an will be published using the software programme photo shop.

Today I have researched clothes that are ethical and have been created by using old and recycled materials. I have also made designs into what our recycled and ethical fashion could be by using some inspiration form my research and also in putting my own unique style, I am also going to make a list of what products and materials we will need to create the fashion line these could include products such as; sequins, material etc.
